For the determination of macro- and microelements and enzyme activity, blood was taken from farm animals in the Poltava region. The results of the study indicate that sows of first pregnancy have an intensive use of calcium. In the blood of animals of the control group, the calcium content fluctuated insignificantly during the experiment. In sows of the experimental group, the calcium content consistently decreased by 1.09 times by the 100th day of farrowing. Such dynamics was observed in the content of Phosphorus in animals of the control and experimental groups. In sows of the control group, the content of Phosphorus in the blood fluctuated slightly, and in animals of the experimental group it decreased by 1.08 times. However, the ratio of Calcium to Phosphorus was on average 1.18 in the control group and 1.19 in the experimental group. The content of Potassium in the blood of sows of the control group (first farrowing) increased by 1.20 times (p<0.01), while in the body of farrowing sows there was its intensive use, as evidenced by a decrease in the content of Potassium during farrowing by 6.06%.
