The proposed methods of modeling discrete environments make it possible to study the dynamics of change in shape (restructuring of composition) of discrete, including loose, environments with different organization (within a wide range) of their structural compositions. According to the research results, a design of a bulk material feeder hopper with an inner surface outlined by the surface of a single-cavity hyperboloid is proposed. This shape of the inner surface of the hopper-feeder effectively stabilizes the work process of loading (unloading) loose material due to the prevention of the formation of arched vaults in the mass of material in the cavity of the feeding nozzle.
