The purpose of the work is to develop scientific principles for passive shielding of the industrial frequency magnetic field of overhead power lines to reduce it to the maximum permissible level in residential areas. For the first time in Ukraine, a new method for synthesizing passive shielding systems for the industrial magnetic field created by overhead power lines has been developed. The developed synthesis method forms the scientific basis for creating scientific principles for domestic shielding technology to a safe level for humans of the magnetic field created by overhead power lines, with minimal material costs. The method was experimentally substantiated by testing on developed full-scale mock-ups of systems for various types of overhead power lines and the possibility of reducing magnetic induction to a level safe for people in residential areas located near overhead power lines was experimentally confirmed.
