The purpose of the work is to develop technical solutions for the safe mining of coal seams according to the gas factor in the mining and geological conditions of the "Samarska" mine, PSU "Mine management Dniprovske" PJSC "DFEС Pavlohradvuhillya". Research methods are generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the mining and geological and mining characteristics of mining areas 1004 and 1005 of the C10v layer and dead-end workings of the "Samarska" mine, PSU "Mine management Dniprovske" PJSC "DFEС Pavlohradvuhillya" were analyzed. The expected methane release within the excavation areas, air consumption for ventilation of treatment works and excavation areas, drilling parameters of degassing wells have been calculated. Measures have been developed to manage the degassing system of excavation areas during fires in mining operations. The “Project for degassing excavation area 1004 of the C10v layer of the «Samarska” mine and the “Project for degassing excavation area 1005 of the C10v layer and dead-end working 1006 of the collective drift of the «Samarska» mine have been developed. "Recommendations on ensuring dust and gas and fire safety of the operation of the underground screw compressor unit UKVSH 7.5/7 when installed in a mine with an outgoing ventilation air stream" have been developed, as well as recommendations on ensuring dust and gas safety of coal mining operations in pit 1004 and when conducting dead-end mining operations.
