The subject of the scientific and technical work is the regularities, functions and methods of temperature influence on the components of railway rolling stock, modeling of loading at different temperature regimes. The purpose of the work is to create theoretical provisions, methodological and practical solutions for controlling and securing the temperature influence on the components of railway rolling stock and determining the conditions for their safe operation to ensure high profitability and competitiveness of railway transport. The experimental research methods used in the project consisted of physical modeling, testing on full-scale samples, bench-scale installations, locomotives and wagons using approved methods established by the relevant GOST and DSTU. The reliability of the scientific results obtained in the project is confirmed by the satisfactory convergence of theoretical and experimental research data, which is due to the correctly used methods of mathematical modeling and applied theories. Based on the research results, the following were published: 4 monographs, 10 articles in journals indexed in the Scopus scientometric database, 15 articles in publications included in the list of professional publications of Ukraine, 17 protection documents for objects of intellectual property rights, 16 abstracts of reports at scientific conferences. Based on the research results, 1 PhD thesis was defended and 1 was prepared for defense, which confirms the improvement of the qualification level of scientific performers and the recognition of the results of scientific research.
