Head Aushev Volodymyr Ye., Доктор фізико-математичних наук Registration Date 27-04-2025 Organization Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv popup.description1 The goal of the project is to measure the interaction cross sections of neutrinos with Ar-40 nuclei. Experimental studies of interactions of neutrinos with nuclei and taking into account the nuclear environment will be connected with the verification of theoretical predictions. popup.description2 Physical models describing the operation of the recombination sensor have been developed. For the first time, by employing a self-consistent approach—incorporating Poisson's equation in the space-charge region and Shockley-Read recombination statistics—fundamental results have been obtained, enabling the determination of photocurrent dependencies on the sensor's surface properties when in contact with an 16 analyte. A theoretical analysis of the photoelectric transducer's operation under additional constant illumination has also been conducted. The model accounts for the presence of an interface on the silicon surface and the formation of a double charged layer due to selective adsorption. Conversion characteristics have been determined as functions of the modulation frequency and the intensity of the probing signal. The physical principles and experimental methodologies for "smart" functional illumination of such structures have been developed, and the operation of a universal sensor platform has been successfully tested. For the first time, successful experiments were performed using this type of transducer to detect and monitor important biological markers in real time through biochemical reactions involving enzymes. It was observed that intermediate products of these reactions, which exhibit either intrinsic or induced dipole moments, are likely responsible for influencing the parameters of recombination centers at the interface. The sensor platform adheres to the principles of an "electronic tongue" and "electronic nose," leveraging the functionalization of the plate surface, light addressing, and the flexibility to vary experimental parameters. This enables the generation of a multidimensional data array, which, when processed using pattern recognition techniques—such as principal component analysis and neural networks—ensures high selectivity of the sensor platform.
