Head Vyzhva Serhii А., Доктор геологічних наук Registration Date 27-04-2025 Organization Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv popup.description1 The purpose of the research is to develop informative and stable geophysical criteria for identifying and evaluating the productivity of tight rocks-reservoirs of oil and gas. This is implemented on the basis of: studies of the most complete list of petrophysical properties and establishing their connection with effective geophysical parameters; development of the theory and methods of monitoring of formation intensification. popup.description2  There are oil and gas are contained in the pores and cavities of rocks called oil and gas reservoirs. The larger the pore volume, the more hydrocarbons the reservoir rock can potentially contain. The gradual exploitation of highly porous reservoirs has significantly reduced their number, there are few of them left, they are either deeply located or contain a small volume of hydrocarbons. Therefore, the attention of researchers is drawn to other types of reservoirs that have low porosity but are more widespread, for example, shale, carbonate rocks, and tight sandstones. The key tasks of this stage of research work were to select the most typical representatives of tight reservoirs and form a representative collection of samples from them for further analysis. Such typical representatives were low-porosity sandstones, dolomites and limestones from the Volodymyrska area, located in the Volyn-Podillya, Ukraine. Microscopic study of the samples showed their potential, since they all have characteristic features of productive reservoirs, namely layering, the presence of organic matter (dark and brown layers of organic material are visible to the naked eye), the existing intergranular porosity, the distribution of clastic textures and fracturing. It is a known fact that hydrocarbons actively move through cracks during its development, therefore fracturing, both natural and stimulated, is an important indicator of the “quality” of the reservoir. In the future, samples for thorough and integarated laboratory analysis will be formed from the rocks of the collection. For this purpose, the technique cycle of conducting such analysis was improved (low permeability and porosity, clear anisotropy (spatial non-uniformity) of physical properties, etc.).
