The aim of the work is to establish the basic laws and theoretical foundations of the processes of oxidative dehalogenation and cathodic dehydrohalogenation of organic compounds on composites of TiOx-Pt, Ti/PbO2 and TiOx-Pd systems. The research methods used were voltammetry, potentiometry, and spectrophotometry. As a result of the work, a set of new experimental data on the general laws of electrocatalytic processes of dehalogenation of aromatic compounds, oxygen and hydrogen production, and synthesis of hydrogen peroxide for secondary chemical oxidation of hazardous organic substances was established. The concept of combined use of anodic oxidation, cathodic dehydrohalogenation and formation of a highly efficient peroxene system for the destruction of organohalides in flow-through modular systems was invented. A set of new experimental data on the correlations between the conditions of synthesis of composite catalysts, their physicochemical properties and catalytic activity in the reactions of destruction of halogenated organic substances in flowing conditionally reagent-free systems has been established.
