Synthesis of new triazolothiadiazines and evaluation of their antimicrobial activity was carried out. The proposed synthetic protocols made it possible to design a variety of pyrazole-substituted 7H-[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-b][1,3,4]thiadiazines with significant chemical novelty. The antimicrobial activity of the obtained compounds was evaluated. Effective approaches for the synthesis of 3-furan-2-yl-2-(4-furan/thiophene-2-ylthiazol-2-yl)acrylonitrile derivatives have been proposed. The synthesized compounds are proposed as promising structures for the development of antitumor drugs. Using the Wilgerodt-Kindler reaction of arylfuran-2-carbaldehydes with sulfur and arylpiperazines, 1-aryl-4-[(5-aryl-2-furyl)carbonothioyl]piperazine and a number of new 2-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)- and 2-benzthiazol-2-yl-3-(5-arylfuran-2-yl)acrylonitriles were obtained. The biological activity of these compounds was investigated. New azole derivatives were proposed as spectrophotometric and voltammetric reagents for the determination of Pd(ΙΙ), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II). The extraction of Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes from 1-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl-azo)-naphthalene-2-ol with different types of organic solvents was investigated. The optimal conditions for the extraction of the complexes were established and a sensitive method for the extraction-photometric determination of Ni(II) (LOD = 2.1 ng/ml) was developed.
