Purpose - to develop a new energy-saving system for maintaining an optimal microclimate in poultry houses based on the use of new designs of heat exchangers-recuperators, in which ventilation air will be cooled in summer and heated in winter by water circulating in a ground heat exchanger. The research method is an experimental study and numerical modelling of the processes of body-mass transfer in the air environment of the poultry house and heat exchangers in the ANSYS Fluent software package. Calculation methods and technical documentation for a new energy-saving system for maintaining the microclimate in poultry houses using water from a soil heat exchanger have been developed. In particular: a calculation methodology for a new energy-saving microclimate maintenance system; a calculation methodology for a new design heat exchanger; technical documentation for the manufacture of heat exchange equipment for microclimate maintenance using a new energy-saving system for cooling and heating the supply air; technical documentation for ventilation and heat exchange equipment for a new microclimate maintenance system. A mathematical model of the coupled problem of heat transfer of a tube bundle with fins in the presence of external and internal heat transfer fluids has been developed using integral calculation methods. As a result of numerical calculations, the integral and local thermal characteristics of tube bundles with fins are obtained. The results of numerical modelling in a coupled formulation are compared with simplified calculation methods that do not take into account the influence of a non-isothermal flow surface or use averaged values of heat transfer coefficients on the surface of finned tube bundles.
