It has been established that international giants have significant advantages in terms of production scale, financial performance, technological equipment, and market diversification. In particular, the company Vistaprint demonstrates stable revenue growth and invests in automation, digitalization, and eco-friendly solutions. In contrast, Ukrainian enterprises, such as «Kyivska Polihrafiia», while showing positive dynamics, lag behind global leaders in most parameters. The study has identified the key problems that hinder the development of printing equipment production in Ukraine, namely limited investments, shortage of qualified personnel, and technical limitations. Recommendations have been provided to stimulate the modernization of production, establish close cooperation between enterprises, educational institutions, and research organizations, as well as to introduce advanced energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. This will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of domestic producers of printing equipment in the domestic and foreign markets. An organizational and economic mechanism for managing energy costs in the technological processes of printing enterprises has been proposed, which includes planning, control, organizational, and motivational components. Its implementation will allow reducing energy consumption, minimizing the negative impact on the environment, and increasing production efficiency. The obtained results can be used by domestic printing enterprises, industry associations, and government authorities to enhance the competitiveness, innovativeness, and sustainable development of the printing industry in Ukraine.
