In the current era of global changes, the problem of developing a forecast of environmental changes is extremely relevant. The hypothesis underlying the project is that the course of natural events during interglacials is subject to general laws: common development trends and short-term cyclicity. Based on the greatest similarity of the composition of modern plant formations and genetic types of soils to those of the last interglacial, it is the closest analogue of the Holocene. Hence the idea of the project - reconstruction and comparison of landscape and climatic changes during the completed last and unfinished modern interglacials. Establishing the similarity of landscape and climatic events of the last interglacial with those during the past part of the Holocene allows us to determine by analogy what the course of future environmental changes would be under the influence of natural factors alone. Distinguishing natural and anthropogenic influences is important for determining ways to optimize anthropogenic loads and adaptive planning of the economy.
