The conducted scientific research will allow creating mathematical models in which heating, thermomechanical stresses and deformation of structural elements of a synchronous generator will be calculated. It was determined that it is advisable to use Bluetooth wireless technology to transmit signals from the rotating part of the machine to a stationary digital computing unit. At stage № 1 of the research, an analytical review of literary sources was made to identify problems of functioning and operation of powerful synchronous machines, including hydrogenerators. It was determined that in order to reduce the probability of failure of the electrical machines under study, it is necessary to use more modern protection systems that use not only the latest semiconductor elements with higher speed, but also complex systems for preventing accidents at such facilities that use rapid analysis of situations in the machine using artificial intelligence.
