The development of land management strategies should take into account not only economic and social factors, but also the priorities of preserving the natural environment, restoring soils and preventing degradation. It is determined that effective planning is possible only under the condition of inter-level interaction – national policy should support regional programs and promote the initiatives of local communities. The methodology of sustainable land management involves integrated planning, the use of digital tools, satellite monitoring, geographic information systems and ecological and economic mapping. The introduction of methodological approaches based on decentralization of management, flexibility of adaptation to climate change, spatial analysis of land use is proposed. The need for the formation of a regulatory and analytical framework that will contribute to the preservation of the natural potential of agricultural landscapes, increasing the efficiency of planning and a responsible attitude to land resources is substantiated.
