The work is aimed at identifying the peculiarities and effective approaches in these countries, as well as at adapting this knowledge to improve approaches in Ukraine. popup.description2 The object of the research is the protection zones of immovable cultural heritage sites in Ukraine, Germany, and Slovenia, which are subject to preservation and protection. The aim of the study is to provide a theoretical substantiation and practical elucidation of urban planning and legal aspects in defining the boundaries of protection zones of immovable cultural heritage sites in Ukraine, using the practices of Germany and Slovenia as examples. The study is focused on identifying the specific characteristics and effective approaches in these countries, as well as on adapting this knowledge to improve approaches in Ukraine. Research methods: comparative legal analysis, systems approach, elements of modeling, analysis of the legislative framework, spatial mapping; the use of geographic information system (GIS) software and analytical tools. The results and their scientific novelty lie in the development of an adapted infological model for the registration of immovable heritage sites within urban planning documentation, proposals for the integration of cadastral data into GIS systems, and the formation of approaches to defining protection zones taking into account international experience. The significance of the study lies in its interdisciplinary approach to the preservation of cultural heritage, considering both legal and urban planning factors in the formation of protection zones. The foundations have been laid for informational support of administrative, expert, project, and educational activities in the field of cultural heritage protection and urban planning, for the analysis of retrospective and current conditions, the development of substantiated forecasts regarding the adoption of administrative and project decisions, as well as decisions related to heritage protection processes, which is a prerequisite for improving and enhancing the quality and efficiency of the functioning of the aforementioned sectors and processes.
