However, it should be noted that in recent years there has been a significant trend towards a decrease in electrical conductivity and oxygen content in water. In 2024, a decrease in the species richness of algaflora, macrophytes and benthic invertebrates was recorded. Among the latter, a significant reduction in the representation of insects is of concern. In the algaflora, an increase in the role of small-celled algae is noted, which indicates an increase in the trophicity of the studied water areas. But the species richness of the ichthyofauna and the results of the assessment of the ecological state according to this descriptor indicate an improvement in conditions for fish in the water areas of the GSH. The quantitative indicators of most alien species in the water areas of the State Fisheries Administration were at the level of last year's research, however, in the long-term aspect, an expansion of the representation of the macrophytes Vallisneria spiralis L. and the crustacean Macrobrachium nipponense (De Haan) in the Danube Delta is observed.
