Aim of the study: to improve a level of forest management informational support as well as to enhance planning and implementation of adaptive forest management. Methodology of the study: silvicultural, agrochemical, forestry, mathematical and statistical methods. Information from individual branches of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" and other enterprises under the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine was compiled regarding technologies for growing both container and bare-root planting material, as well as methods of establishing forest plantations using various types of planting material. Regional peculiarities in the growth and development of forest plantations of main forest-forming species – Scots pine, Crimean pine, common oak, common ash, European birch, European larch – were studied across more than 100 plots.
