Methodology of the study: methods of comparative ecology, entomology, mycology, silviculture, and forestry, along with statistical analysis and original approaches for assessing and predicting the distribution and harmfulness of organisms, specifically developed by the authors for phytophagous insects. The increase in the threat to the existence of ash in eastern Ukraine has been proven due to the simultaneous spread of the invasive emerald ash borer, halara necrosis and ash bark beetles. The probability of the spatial spread of the emerald ash borer in Ukraine and beyond its borders to the EU countries was modeled using the MaxEnt software package, taking into account climatic indicators.
