COMBINED HEAT AND ELECTRICITY GENERATOR, THERMOELECTRIC CONVERTER, THERMOELECTRIC MODULES, PYROLYSIS FURNACE, BIOMASS. The object of research is the processes of converting thermal energy into electrical energy. The purpose of the work is to develop a design for a combined heat and electricity generator based on the use of a biomass heat source and a thermoelectric heat to electrical energy converter. Research methods are theoretical and experimental. As a result of the research, a combined heat and electricity generator was developed, which contains a pyrolysis burner operating on any biomass and a thermoelectric generator with highly efficient heating and cooling systems. A theoretical analysis of the developed scheme and optimization of its parameters were carried out. A mathematical model and calculation programs of the combined generator were developed, its design was created, prototypes of a pyrolysis burner, two-phase heat exchange systems for heating and cooling, and a thermoelectric generator for a combined heat and power generator were manufactured. Experimental studies of the prototype were carried out, and its energy characteristics were determined. The specific characteristics of the studied KGTE scheme with two-phase heating and cooling systems for a thermoelectric power generator were determined. It was shown that the developed pyrolysis burner PP-8 as a source of thermal energy meets the conditions of the technical task and provides the required power (from 8 to 20 kW) and the duration of the operating cycle between refueling (2 - 5 hours depending on the mode). The heating efficiency of the burner reaches 80%. The configuration of the thermoelectric generator necessary to achieve the design indicators of electric power was determined.
