Thus, a calculation dependence is presented for calculating the costs of construction and operation of solar power plants for different states of the USA, which was used during the feasibility study of such plants. At the same time, the level of electricity tariffs and the possibility of its change, the cost of money for the implementation of construction and operation projects, as well as possible changes in the cost of equipment were taken into account. In addition, the procedure for feasibility study of the choice of alternative heat supply systems for the facilities of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” was improved. It is shown that the use of the “increase costs” method is unacceptable. This allowed the use of software during the development and implementation of heat supply system projects for the facilities of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”. An original methodology for developing a feasibility study for projects in the field of energy and energy efficiency using the example of solar power plants for the USA and China has been presented. In addition, the procedure for feasibility study for choosing alternative heat supply systems for facilities of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” has been improved. It has been shown that the use of the “incremental costs” method is unacceptable. A methodology for conducting remote energy audits has also been developed, which is extremely relevant in times of war and/or pandemics or other epidemics. This approach is necessary for the creation and operation of energy management systems and related software.
