Registration Date 17-06-2025 Organization National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy popup.description1 Development of a comprehensive logistics management system for the use of coastal areas of the Black Sea and inland waterways of Ukraine, as part of the Trans-European Transport Network in Ukraine, along with the creation of a network model for the logistics infrastructure of Southern Ukraine and its management system. This will take into account natural, natural-technological risks, and emergencies to ensure the country's geospatial development, national security, and defense capabilities popup.description2  A scientific and analytical justification has been conducted regarding the possibility and feasibility of optimizing the use of inland water transport in Southern Ukraine. Scientific and analytical results are presented on the study of the distribution of micro- and mesoforms of bottom relief and the structure of the upper layer of bottom sediments in the Dnipro River (lower course), the Danube, and the Southern Bug. An analysis was carried out on data concerning the chemical composition of water, bottom sediments, vegetation, soils, and rocks of water resources and land within navigable routes (the Dnipro and Danube Rivers). It has been proven that the main anthropogenic pressure comes from industry, agriculture, and municipal enterprises. The impact of wars on the condition of surface waters has also been assessed. A study was carried out on the magnetic properties and chemical composition of bottom sediments in the lakes of Khortytsia Island and the soils of the surrounding area. This made it possible to identify the main sources of the magnetic signal in these natural objects, as well as the accumulation of heavy metals and other chemical elements. An evaluation and analysis were conducted on technogenic pollution resulting from vessel movement and the transportation of various materials (including those that pollute water bodies and soils). A scientific justification was developed for the feasibility and safety of dredging and other works within navigable routes and adjacent areas, using the Danube River as an example. A strategic environmental assessment (SEA) was carried out to evaluate the potential impacts of increased use of navigation routes in Southern Ukraine. A distinctive feature of the study is the integration of socio-geographical, geophysical, chemical-biological, and economic-mathematical methods, GIS technologies, and remote sensing data, which is a novel approach to solving problems of integrated management of the country’s critical infrastruct Product Description popup.authors Arkhypova Liudmyla M.
