The purpose of the study is to develop a scientifically based methodology for assessing the environmental impact of hazardous technologies, to study the mechanism of hazardous waste spread in natural ecosystems, and to develop an environmental and economic model for optimising the parameters of boiler plants and introducing heat pumps operating on non-conventional energy sources. Research methods: mathematical modelling, visual observation, physical and chemical analysis of biomass indicators, theoretical and practical study of the efficiency of heat and power systems of industrial enterprises and public utilities. The chapter develops a methodology for applying mathematical modelling to predict the migration of pollutants and quantify environmental risks, taking into account the chemical properties of substances, geological and climatic conditions. The proposed comprehensive strategy includes a transition to safe disposal methods, active landfill reclamation, and a significant reduction in waste volumes through the development of recycling and circular economy principles.
