PLASTIC IDENTIFICATION CARDS, SECURITY PRODUCTS, QUALITY CONTROL, WEAR RESISTANCE, RESISTANCE TO CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES. The object of the study is identification cards, their operating modes, preliminary technological processing, and materials. The subject of the study is the analysis of the influence of operating modes, the correctness of preliminary technological processing, and the correspondence of material grades on the nature of destruction and functional properties of identification cards. The purpose of the SRT is a comprehensive assessment of the quality of plastic identification cards to develop recommendations for improving the technological process of their manufacture and processing. The study consists of carrying out the following tasks: − identification of samples, control of functioning, and parameters before testing; − control of resistance to chemical substances; − control of card sticking in a stack, resistance to static electricity, dimensional stability, and flatness of cards under the influence of temperature and relative humidity. Research methods - tests were carried out according to the procedures established in TU U 24.6-32912343-001:2006 (updated on 07.11.2023), CQM Requirements Version 2.22 (11 009), DSTU ISO/IEC 10373-1:2008, DSTU ISO/IEC 7810:2024. The results of comprehensive testing showed that the card samples fully meet the stated requirements for: resistance to external influences (temperature, humidity, chemicals, salt fog, sweat); stability of geometric parameters; operability of the magnetic stripe and contactless interface; absence of negative effects of static electricity; operability when stacked. The test results confirm the compliance of the samples with the technical requirements and operating conditions.
