Registration Date 02-07-2025 Organization Rivne State University of Humanities popup.description1 Reconstruction of person's internal and external worldviews, semantic modelling of their mental, social, artifact, axiological and semiotic spaces, the study of situation concepts of mental states, social relationships, material objects, value priorities, sign relations. popup.description2  The project “Person in a multidimensional conceptual space: typology, semantics, discourse” addresses fundamental issues in contemporary linguistic science related to the reconstruction of the person’s worldviews, semantic modeling of their mental, artefactual, social, axiological, and semiotic spaces, as well as the study of the ways and means of linguistic representation of mental situations, objects of material and spiritual culture, social relations, values and value orientations, and the functioning of signs and semiotic systems. The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the general anthropocentric orientation of modern linguistic research and the tendency to study language in close connection with the person, their consciousness, thinking, and spiritual-practical activities. The project aims to highlight the patterns of empirical cognition associated with the categorization and conceptualization of the human inner and outer worlds. A concrete implementation of the project is the analysis of the specifics of linguistic conceptualization of the human mental, artefactual, social, axiological, and semiotic spaces. Based on material from Germanic, Romance, and Slavic languages (English, German, French, Czech, Polish, Bulgarian, Ukrainian), a range of pressing issues has been considered, including: a) the reconstruction of the linguistic worldview of the person in its mental, artefactual, social, axiological, and semiotic dimensions; b) semantic modeling of the person’s mental, artefactual, social, axiological, and semiotic spaces; c) analysis of the mechanisms behind the formation of concepts related to mental, artefactual, social, axiological, and semiotic situations in structurally diverse languages; d) study of the nature of mental image functioning, the properties and characteristics of mental categories, discourse analysis of artefactual situations, situations of social relations, value priorities, and semiotic relations.
