A methodology for assessing the benefits and risks of implementing the socio-humanitarian component of the “One Belt, One Road” Initiative in the countries of Europe and Ukraine was developed and substantiated. It was substantiated that the key advantages of implementing the socio-humanitarian component of the “One Belt, One Road” Initiative in Ukraine are the possibility of using the humanitarian infrastructure of the Initiative to strengthen the influence of the practices of modern Ukrainian culture in Asian countries, while the risks of implementing the “One Belt, One Road” Initiative in Ukraine are the use of the experience of Soviet Marxism as the basis for interpreting the main ideas, principles and practices of Sinicized Marxism. It has been established that the “One Belt, One Road” initiative is based both theoretically and practically on Marxism, in its Chinese interpretation, namely “sinicized Marxism”. A comparative typological analysis of modern Western philosophical traditions and modern Chinese philosophy has been carried out in order to determine the possibilities of implementing joint Sino-European practical projects in the field of humanitarian cooperation within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. The practical goals of the humanitarian part of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative for China and Ukraine have been determined, and the potential impact of the initiative on the humanitarian development of modern Ukrainian society has been determined.
