The purpose of the work is to perform calculations and forecast the danger of sudden methane breakthroughs from the bottom of the mining operations of PJSC «Management of the mine «POKROVSKE». Research methods are generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the mining and geological characteristics of mining operations and coal seam development in the conditions of PJSC «Management of the mine «POKROVSKE» were analyzed. Calculations were performed on a PC using a specially developed program in accordance with the "Instructions for the forecast and prevention of sudden methane breakthroughs from the bottom of mining operations". Conclusions have been developed on the forecast of the danger of sudden methane breakthroughs from the bottom of the mining operations of PJSC «Management of the mine «POKROVSKE».
