The subject includes methods of information documentation, historical experience of documentation, documentation practices, and testimonial disclosure. The aim of the study is to synthesize the experience of documenting the Russian-Ukrainian war. Research methods include observation, monitoring, comparison, analysis, synthesis, historical method, and problem-thematic method. The research is conducted based on an interdisciplinary approach. It is proven that the Russian-Ukrainian war has become the most documented war, characterized by real-time documentation through audiovisual, online, and print media. Personal testimonies are documented using interview/survey (questionnaire) methods by various civil organizations, academic and government institutions, and non-governmental organizations. The selection of documents for permanent preservation by archival institutions is based on proactive documentation, formalized collection policies, interdisciplinary professional discourse, and archivists' readiness to adapt documentation approaches in uncertain and rapidly changing wartime conditions. The feasibility of creating an integrated information resource – the War Archive – is substantiated. The novelty lies in the synthesis of existing documentation practices both in Ukraine and in other countries, as well as in the introduction of new documents and materials into academic circulation.
