The purpose of the research is the development of theoretical and methodical support, scientific and practical recommendations for the restructuring of value-added chains in Ukraine’s timber industry during the post-war period. Research methods: theoretical generalization; bibliometric and trend analysis; systematic, logical, graphical analysis; synthesis; induction; deduction; grouping; comparison; matrix approach; taxonomic and cluster analysis, scenario modeling. The theoretical and methodological support for the formation of value chains in the timber industry of Ukraine has been developed. Methodical provisions for diagnosing the problems of development of the timber industry in Ukraine and other countries are proposed. The theoretical foundations for identifying the main substantive determinants of the formation of value-added chains and ensuring foreign trade security based on the use of bibliometric analysis tools are developed. The state and trends of the development of the timber industry in Ukraine and other countries are assessed. A methodological approach to assessing the foreign trade security of the Ukrainian timber industry has been developed, which takes into account its specifics and allows identifying threats. The directions of value-added chain restructuring in the Ukrainian timber industry in the post-war period are determined. The methodological approach to the integrated assessment of the competitive advantages of the products of the timber industry of Ukraine in the world market has been improved. The methodological approach to identifying existing and promising clusters of the timber industry in the regions of Ukraine and determining the priority directions of their development has been improved.
