The result was the same for animals that received Detomax + sulfur-tar liniment + tylosin 5%, and for those treated with Dectomax + 2.5% wax moth larvae extract + sulfur-tar liniment with the addition of wax moth larvae + 5% tylosin. Detomax showed 100% effectiveness against demodicosis pathogens, and symptomatic therapy did not affect its acaricidal effect on demodicosis. As a result of daily clinical examination of the dogs in group 1, it was found that their itching completely disappeared on the 5th day of treatment, and complete restoration of appetite was recorded on the 10th day day, pustules and nodules healed on the 16th day, the surface of the affected skin became smooth and thinner on the 21st day, and hair regrowth on the affected areas of the skin began on the 24th day. Thanks to the additional use of preparations containing wax moth larvae in animals of the second experimental group, similar results were achieved on the 3rd, 5th, 10th, 15th, and 18th days of treatment, respectively. Morphological examination of the blood of experimental animals on the 30th day of treatment showed that the use of a complex of drugs in animals of the second experimental group led to a significant decrease in the number of leukocytes in the blood from 11.40 ± 0.35 to 8.90 ± 0.31 G/L (by 21.9%), p including a decrease in the number of eosinophils from 3.9 ± 0.15 to 3.40 ± 0.10 % (by 12.8), and a decrease in the number of stab neutrophils from 5.70 ± 0.20 to 4.80 ± 0.77% (by 15.8) compared with the indicators of dogs that were treated only with Dectomax, sulfur-tar liniment, and 5% tylosin.
