At the modern scientific and methodological level, the worldview, civilisational, socio-political, and natural philosophical views of H. Skovoroda, the categories of freedom and will in his teachings, the foundations of the philosophy of pedagogy, the way of life as philosophical and cultural travel, and the affirmation of traditional and enlightened national and cultural consciousness. The extent and directions of the influence of H. Skovoroda's teachings on the further development of Ukrainian philosophical thought and its connection with the Western European style of philosophising are summarised. The role and significance of H. Skovoroda's philosophical and educational heritage in the context of the development and formation of Ukrainian national consciousness, the formation of new beliefs, the rethinking of one's own cultural and educational experience, the revival of forgotten truths in the national memory of the people, and the use of ideas that have remained unspoken and unused in domestic socio-historical science for several centuries.
