The aim of the study was to improve diagnostic methods and increase the effectiveness of treatment of preschool children with acute bronchitis, based on established risk factors, clinical and pathogenetic mechanisms of the disease, hormonal and immunological status of the child, by using immunomodulatory drug. The research method is clinical and anamnestic (collection of complaints, history of the disease and life, physical examination), laboratory (clinical blood test, determination of the content of hormones in the blood serum (thyroid-stimulating hormone, total and free fractions of iodothyronines, reversible triiodothyronine, antibodies to thyroperoxidase, cortisol), as well as changes in the cellular (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD16+, CD22+) and humoral immunity (IgA, IgM, IgG), oppositional cytokine pools (IL-4 and INF-γ)), instrumental (chest radiography, ultrasound examination (US) of the thyroid gland (thyroid gland), adrenal glands) and statistical processing methods. The results of the research have been implemented in the practical work of pediatricians in the Sumy region, as well as increasing the awareness of specialists regarding the features of the clinical course of acute bronchitis in preschool children in combination with the syndrome of euthyroid pathology and without.
