This includes selection of composition and parameters of hardened precursor strips, variation of parameters of distillation of volatile component in vacuum at high temperature to assess its effect on morphology and phase composition of porous metallic materials, controlled surface modification of metallic materials and catalytic activity of porous composite materials. a number of electrochemical reactions. popup.description2 Nanoporous metals are widely used today as catalysts for electrochemical reactions of hydrogen evolution (HER) and oxygen evolution (OER), which are important for energy storage and conversion processes. Most of these materials contain noble metals of the platinum group, which limits their wide-scale application. A pressing task of chemical materials science is the development of inexpensive porous metallic materials based on transition metals with a predicted chemical, phase composition, and porous microstructure. An obstacle to obtaining such materials by well-known methods of chemical or electrochemical delegation is the different chemical (electrochemical) activity of transition metals. As a result, more active components dissolve faster from the precursor alloy, which complicates the control of the qualitative and quantitative composition in the resulting porous alloys. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to develop scientific foundations and an effective strategy for obtaining nanoporous metallic materials based on transition metals by the method of vapor-phase distillation of zinc from rapidly quenched PM-Zn (PM = Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) ribbons as precursor alloys. The subject of the study is the microstructure and phase composition of quenched zinc ribbons with transition metals; the microstructure, chemical and phase composition of nanoporous metals and alloys; the catalytic activity of the obtained porous materials in electrochemical reactions. The object is the processes of formation of the structure and phase composition during quenching of PM-Zn melts, the temperature evolution of the morphology of the obtained quenched ribbons during vapor-phase distillation of zinc, the influence of the composition and microstructure of nanoporous alloys on their catalytic properties in electrochemical processes.
