The aim of the work is to develop synthetic approaches for obtaining coordination compounds of 3d- and 4f-metals with organic polydentate and polychelating ligands with O- and N-donor groups and functional substituents of various types, to establish fundamental patterns of the relationship between the molecular and supramolecular structure of metal complexes, their magnetic and luminescent properties. The task of the work is to create modern scientifically based approaches to obtaining a new generation of multifunctional materials for technical applications as photo- and electrophosphors, MRI contrast agents, luminescent particles for visualization of biological objects, mesogenic phases with spin-switching properties and photosensitivity for remote control of luminescence and magnetic properties. The novelty of the approach lies in obtaining multifunctional metal complexes with KAF, SAF and N-heterocyclic ligands by applying the principles of chemical design, which include molecular modeling of polychelating ligand systems from existing molecular blocks, assessment of the necessary sterics of complex molecules, functional groups taking into account their nature, polarity, emerging intra- and intermolecular interactions important in the formation of the crystal lattice, as well as their influence on the physical properties of substances.  Product Description popup.authors Holenia Іryna О.
