In this regard, a number of official documents have been adopted in our country that should contribute to the development of scientific research aimed at reducing the consumption of petroleum fuels and improving the environmental friendliness of road transport. One of the main tasks facing the road transport industry is to increase the level of environmental friendliness and energy efficiency of vehicles by applying international environmental standards for vehicles and motor fuels, ensuring the use of energy-efficient, environmentally safe and alternative types of liquid and gas fuels, and introducing a mechanism to stimulate the consumption of alternative types of liquid and gas motor fuels. The current list of priority thematic areas of scientific research and scientific and technical developments for the period until 2021 includes research aimed at developing technologies for using new types of fuels, waste energy resources, renewable and alternative energy sources, as well as technologies for cleaning and preventing atmospheric air pollution. The project is aimed at solving the problem of increasing the energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of road transport by using alternative fuels from renewable raw materials and adding hydrogen-containing gas to the air charge of the engine to improve the combustion process, and as a result, increase its efficiency. The results obtained during the implementation of this work will contribute to increasing the efficiency and expanding the use of environmentally friendly alternative fuels from renewable raw materials, which will reduce our country's energy dependence and increase the environmental friendliness of road transport.
