The dependencies of hardness, crack formation and porosity of the deposited metal on the content of silicon and aluminum in surfacing materials were established. Recommendations on the composition of flux-cored strips and charge for arc surfacing were developed. The proposed technological solutions are aimed at improving defect-free deposition and increasing the durability of metallic structures operating under abrasive and hydro-abrasive wear conditions.
