The dependence of perioperative cardiorespiratory complications on the method of anesthetic support during open operations on malignant lung tumors was determined. The risk criteria for perioperative complications were indicators of systemic hemodynamics, gas exchange, acid-base status, cortisol concentration, glycemia, and the value of the homeostasis model assessment index (of insulin resistance). The technique of combined general anesthesia based on sevoflurane with the addition of paravertebral blockade in these patients was improved and introduced, which significantly reduces the number of cardiorespiratory complications and the duration of artificial ventilation of the lungs.
