They provide a comprehensive assessment of the radioecological criticality of agricultural lands based on radionuclide migration, which makes it possible to determine the prospects for returning these territories to economic circulation. In particular, the role of forest plantations is considered in implementing forest reclamation measures and cultivating bioenergy crops to reduce radioecological risks and enhance ecological stability. Model scenarios of agri-production activities adapted to the conditions of contaminated lands are proposed, along with calculation-prognostic methods and integrated criteria for assessing the level of radionuclide contamination and the suitability of territories for agricultural production. The recommendations serve as a practical tool for central and local authorities in making operational decisions and developing short- and long-term regional recovery strategies, as well as a valuable resource for agro-industrial enterprises, researchers, and students of natural sciences in conducting studies and implementing innovative approaches. popup.description2 The methodological recommendations focus on restoring the productive potential of lands contaminated by the Chornobyl disaster. They propose an integrated scenario-based approach to agricultural development, taking into account ecological, economic, and social factors. A significant section is devoted to assessing agroecological processes, particularly the influence of radionuclides such as ^137Cs and ^90Sr on crop quality, as well as the analysis of radiation exposure to the local population. Despite the reduction of contaminated areas, products like milk, berries, and mushrooms still present high radiological risks, necessitating systematic monitoring and adaptive management to minimize threats. Five basic scenarios of agricultural organization are presented: current farming practice, dairy farming, a bioenergy-oriented model, and both traditional and intensive beef cattle systems. Each scenario considers soil type, contamination level, climatic conditions, and economic resources. Key measures include organo-mineral fertilization, the use of green manure crops, phytoremediation, afforestation, and cultivation of bioenergy plants. These practices aim to lower radiological hazards and strengthen the resilience of agroecosystems. The recommendations also emphasize socio-economic aspects, such as the creation of regional clusters, expansion of bioenergy, generation of new jobs, and provision of state support through preferential loans and subsidies. Their implementation is expected to restore the agro-industrial potential of Polissya, enhance food security, and promote ecological stability and regional economic growth. This becomes particularly significant in the context of ongoing military challenges and global climate change. Product Description popup.authors Baranovska Nataliia A. Raichuk Liudmyla A.
