For the first time in Ukraine, a comprehensive study was conducted on the relationship between migraine, folic acid levels, homocysteine, gut microbiota, and vitamin D. It was found that homocysteine and folic acid levels directly affect headache severity and the quality of life in migraine patients. Additionally, for the first time in Ukraine, the effectiveness of epigenetic and elimination diets in migraine prevention was explored. The introduction of these diets in the treatment of migraine patients showed significant efficacy in reducing the frequency and intensity of headache attacks. The role of the gut-brain axis in migraine pathogenesis was also identified for the first time in Ukraine through an analysis of gut microbiota. Significant differences in microbiota composition were observed in migraine patients compared to healthy individuals. This expands our understanding of the gut-brain connection in the context of migraine and suggests a potential role of microbiota in the pathogenesis of this disorder. The scientific novelty of the developed integrated diagnostic and preventive algorithm for migraine attacks lies in its systematic approach, which combines various aspects of the patient's condition and factors that may influence migraine development. A comprehensive approach to migraine patients based on the results of this study allows for improved diagnostic quality, individualized prevention strategies, and efficient implementation based on each patient's specific needs.
