The purpose (objective) of the study determining the main areas of improvement of legislation regulating relations in the field of air transport, the necessary legal conditions for the further development of air transport based on a comprehensive analysis of air transport legal relations in Ukraine at the current stage of their functioning and taking into account foreign experience. During its implementation: 1. The content and features of air transport legal relations were clarified and changes in their functioning were identified. 2. The current legislative regulation of such relations was characterized, its shortcomings were identified and development prospects were outlined. 3. The contractual regulation of air transport relations is analyzed. 4. Approaches to improving the regulatory and legal regulation of air transport relations are proposed. 5. The features of the legal regulation of the transportation of passengers and baggage by air transport are determined. 6. The contractual regulation of air cargo transportation is analyzed. Research methods. In the process of research, philosophical, general scientific, specific scientific and special legal methods were applied.
