The grant is of great importance for the sustainability and development of DNU research potential, in particular in the fields of ecology and rational use of nature, new substances and materials, information technologies, rocket and space technology and technologies, new technologies, as well as for the high-quality training of promising scientific personnel. popup.description2 The results of the scientific, educational and organizational results of the activities of postgraduate students and scientists who received support from the Simons Foundation within the framework of the President Directed – Ukraine Support Grants program of the project “Support of Leading Scientists of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University” (ID: SFI-PD-Ukraine-00011970) in 2024–2025 at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University are presented. During the reporting period, diverse research was carried out: from the improvement of metal alloys for rocket and space technology, research into mathematical models of cracks in piezoelectrics and the development of new criteria for solving inverse problems to the study of the environmental consequences of military operations, the synthesis of biologically active aza-heterocycles and the modernization of library and information services. Despite military challenges, Ukrainian scientists actively published in professional journals, received patents, participated in international conferences, and trained a young generation of researchers. The support of the Simons Foundation allowed to ensure the continuity of research, expand the material and technical base, and establish cooperation with international partners.
