During the first stage of work, a modeling of ionospheric propagation of HF radio waves on short paths using ray-tracing technology during the solar eclipse of April 8, 2024 was conducted; analysis of daily, seasonal and interannual variations in the characteristics of long-distance propagation of HF radio waves from Europe to the Antarctic Peninsula region was carried out; analysis of the impact of the spatial component scattered by the waved sea surface on the characteristics of ionospheric HF signals recorded on board a moving vessel was conducted; testing the operation quality of ionosondes at the Ukrainian Antarctic station Akademik Vernadsky in a configuration with an additional power amplifier in both vertical and oblique sounding modes with a passive ionosonde on board the RV Noosfera was carried out.
