The purpose of the study is to determine the influence of winter wheat predecessors and basic tillage methods on the agrophysical parameters of typical chernozem in the conditions of the subzone of insufficient moisture of the Forest-Steppe zone. Research methods: field (production), laboratory. The report presents the results of the study of the influence of predecessors and methods of basic tillage on the agrophysical properties of typical chernozem under winter wheat cultivation. It has been established that the use of soybeans as a precursor improves the structure of the topsoil and reduces soil hardness, which has a positive effect on yields, which exceeds the variant with dyed safflower by 0.55 t/ha. Economic calculations have shown that the profitability of growing winter wheat after soybeans is 59% higher compared to growing it after dye safflower. At the same time, the analysis of net profit (18138 UAH/ha) confirmed the feasibility of using safflower dye as a precursor in the production conditions of a modern agricultural enterprise. The results obtained can be used to optimise crop rotations and increase the economic efficiency of grain production. The report presents the results of the research conducted at the agricultural company "Renaissance" during 2025 in a production field experiment by the chair of Agriculture and Herbology named after A.M.
