Language, as one of the main means of self-expression, absorbs the entire humanistic potential of a people and becomes a form of thinking. The historical process saturates it with an associative vision of the world and contributes to the artistic reflection of reality. In modern Ukrainian, the relevance of the research topic is determined by its inclusion in the general range of linguistic studies, which reflects the special interest of modern Ukrainian linguistics in the global problem of structuring human knowledge about the world through its verbalization in language/speech, text, and discourse. Within the cognitive approach, we consider the peculiarities of the linguistic structure of the author's representation of the world and various knowledge in the linguistic picture of the world of Ukrainian writers and the ways of conceptual organization of knowledge in the process of constructing and decoding artistic texts. The aim of the study is to establish the peculiarities of linguistic means of representing pragmatic and syntagmatic aspects in Ukrainian texts in synchrony and diachrony, to determine the influential potential of the semantics and structure of linguistic units.
