The object of research is the latest processes for obtaining sponge titanium alloyed with aluminium and vanadium directly in the process of magnesium thermal reduction of titanium tetrachloride. The aim of the work is to determine the optimal composition of titanium-containing ore mixtures for use in the technology of obtaining titanium tetrachloride with a controlled vanadium content, with the aim of further obtaining innovative sponge titanium alloyed according to the Ti-6Al-4V alloying system. Research methods: theoretical, analytical, instrumental. An analysis of the chemical composition of rutile and ilmenite concentrates produced from ores mined in Ukraine, based on their titanium and vanadium content was carried out . Scientific and technical products were created: recommendations for the formation of the optimal composition of ore material mixtures to obtain a specific composition of titanium tetrachloride, a method for simultaneously determining the thermal conductivity and heat capacity of metal products and thin coatings on metal products, a method for obtaining sponge titanium alloyed with vanadium and aluminium. Field of application: 72.19 Research and experimental development in other natural and technical sciences.
