Therefore, the goal of our research is to map all archeological monuments (from the Paleolithic to the Middle Age) on the territory of the Ancient Halych National Reserve on a topographic basis, to identify their boundaries and cultural attribution. popup.description2 New Paleolithic sites were discovered during archaeological explorations on the territory of the Halych National Reserve. The sites of the first farmers in Western Ukraine, Temyrivtsi and Tustan, were discovered and partially investigated. The research in Kozyna (Solovche) was the first in archaeology to reveal an early Trypillia site in the Upper Dniester region. It dates back to the middle of the V millennium B.C. Analysis of ceramics showed that the population of that time was in contact with the Malica and Tiszapolár cultures. Archaeological research at the Zalukva site (Sad) revealed a dwelling and a pit of the Trypillian culture of stage B II. This is the first well-documented site of the Trypillian culture of the IV millennium BC in the Upper Dniester region. An early Trypillia culture (pit) was discovered at this settlement. This is the second site of the Early Trypillia culture in the Upper Dniester region. Detailed mapping and measurements of the kurgans on the territory of the Reserve were carried out. The Early Bronze Age sites (Mezanovicka culture) of Krylos, Shevchenkove, Zalukva, and Bilshivtsi were discovered. Sites of the Middle Bronze Age of the Tszynecka-Komariv culture and the Noa culture (Komariv, Bilshivtsi) were discovered. Sites of the Early Iron Age of the Goligrada culture were discovered. The results of the research allowed us to significantly change the knowledge about the prehistory of the Upper Dniester lands in the context of the prehistory of Ukraine and Western Europe.
