Design of the educational space : theory, methodology of design, pathways implementation. The object of research is the educational space of general education and higher education institutions. The purpose of the work is to analyse the evolution and current state of the design situation of the educational space, to scientifically substantiate ways of its development, functioning and structure. Research methods: comparative-historical method, measurement and visual observation method, analogy method, functional, constructive, ergonomic, artistic-compositional, systemic-comparative analysis, typological method, graphical modelling and forecasting method. In the course of the research, three articles were published in scientific journals, 13 abstracts in conference proceedings, and nine tests of individual aspects of the research in publications by members of the student scientific circle of the Department of Design. We participated in scientific conferences and seminars with the involvement of students (9 positions). The team of authors organised round tables, which were held during this time at the Department of Design of Lutsk National Technical University. The scientists working on the topic implemented the results of their work into the educational process while teaching disciplines at the Design Department. The results of scientific developments have been implemented into the educational process of the Design Department for the high-quality and comprehensive training of future specialists – designers. During the period of implementation of the research project, 16 bachelor's and master's theses on the subject of the research project were prepared and defended. The main results obtained in the course of the research project will make a significant contribution to the development of the design of educational spaces.
