The purpose of the study is to develop a scientifically substantiated system of technological methods for cultivating technical grape varieties under irrigation conditions in the Steppe zone of Ukraine, aimed at increasing the productivity of plantations, improving the quality of the harvest and rational use of water resources. The research method is field. The paper presents the results of research on optimizing the irrigation regime of technical grape varieties under the conditions of the Steppe zone of Ukraine. Based on the data of the automatic weather station, the agroclimatic conditions of the growing season, the dynamics of soil moisture and the reaction of plants to different irrigation regimes were analyzed. The influence of the level of moisture on overwintering, fruiting, yield, grape quality, growth force and ripening of shoots was determined. It has been shown that maintaining soil moisture at 70–85% of field moisture capacity ensures the highest efficiency of irrigation water use (6.8 kg/m³) while maintaining high product quality. A moisture regime of 70–100% of field moisture capacity ensures the maximum gross yield (10.78 t/ha) with sufficient water supply.
