The effectiveness of risk assessment based on the study of the coronary artery calcification index, the condition of the carotid arteries (CA) (in particular, the detection of CA plaque and intima-media complex thickness (IMC) >0.09 cm) and serum aldosterone levels was investigated. The association between serum aldosterone levels and AH control in patients with CKD was investigated. The understanding of the nature of atherosclerotic lesions of the carotid and coronary arteries in patients with CKD with reduced renal function was expanded.
