Makarenko popup.description1 To reveal the regularities of functional systems formation of an organism of children of different age groups, their adaptation to the conditions of education in the period of reformation of the field of education taking into account medical, social and hygienic factors, psychological characteristics of personality and lifestyle. popup.description2 The relevance of this research project was determined by the need to study the functional status and adaptive capacity of the human organism, developing comprehensive assessment scales and integral indicators for identifying individuals at high risk of disease development at early, preclinical stages. The subject of the study included the hygienic and medico-social factors of the educational environment, indicators of individual and population health, and the adaptive capacity of the organisms of children, adolescents, and youth. The goal of the research project: to identify changes in the health status of various population groups, the patterns of the formation of functional body systems during different age periods, and adaptation to learning and working conditions during the period of educational reform, taking into account medico-social and hygienic factors, psychological characteristics of the individual, and lifestyle. To achieve the goal and objectives of the work, the following methods were used: sanitary-hygienic, social-hygienic, physiological-hygienic, clinical, psychological, and statistical methods. The results of the work included a population study of the quality of life and health of the younger generation and an assessment of the connection between the obtained data and the main medico-demographic indicators of the Sumy region. A method for assessing the process of forming the functional status of the human body under conditions of systematic specific physical activity was developed. The use of the developed method for pre-nosological diagnosis, assessment of reproductive potential, and the formation of health-preserving competence in women of early fertile age was substantiated. A method for assessing mental health in the context of psychosocial support for the population was developed, using the example of education sector workers. A comprehensive mental health support program for the population was developed and implemented in practice.
