The aim of the work is to conduct research and review the national standard for testing methods for asphalt concrete mixtures and asphalt concrete for roads and airfields. Research methods: critical analysis of foreign and domestic literature sources, experimental research. During the research work, in accordance with the technical specifications: an analysis of literature sources and regulatory documents on methods for testing asphalt concrete mixtures and asphalt concrete was carried out; a research programme was drawn up; research objects were selected and their technical properties were established; research was carried out to establish the influence of sample preparation on the quality indicators of asphalt concrete; technical specifications for the development of a draft national standard were drawn up, and it was agreed and approved in accordance with the established procedure; research was carried out to identify the influence of the test parameters of asphalt concrete mixtures and asphalt concrete on their quality indicators; the first and second drafts of the national standard were developed (including a summary and analysis of comments on all drafts and the compilation of a set of comments); explanatory notes were drawn up. Based on the work performed, the final version of the DSTU draft was developed, the explanatory note was refined, the DSTU draft file was formed and submitted for approval to the national standardisation body in accordance with the established procedure.
